***I don’t think we need to make too much of this.***

Now that the Empty Chair has become the symbol for the Resident, you might want to re-think “making too much of it.” An Empty Chair will be taking the place of yard signs, and bumper stickers featuring an Empty Chair will be taking the place of conventional stickers. Everywhere Zero goes, empty chairs will mock him. There is a wealth of Empty Chair graphics out on the web for us to use to mock Zero and his minions. This whole “meme” will grow, as evidenced with National Empty Chair Day, and Zero is powerless to stop it.

Alinsky’s Rules For Radicals
Rule 5:

Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

What you said.

A Romney yard sign is one thing.

A Romney yard sign with an empty folding chair next to it is quite another.

I don’t think you understood my post. My point was, believing the Romney team used Alinsky rules in allowing the empty chair skit is a little over the top. Sure, it fits the mold, but that doesn’t mean they consciously used Alinsky rules. I doubt that very much.
