DETROIT (WWJ) - Protesters sought to disrupt a no questions asked gun buyback effort Thursday on Detroits west side.
WWJ Newsradio 950′s Florence Walton reported that gun-toting enthusiasts tried to tempt the people in line by offering them more money not to turn in their weapons.

I have been trying to find out. All I know so far is that at least one guy bought two shotguns for $75 each. The police put up a line of five officers in the middle of the street to intimidate people from approaching the gun buyers.
At least one person with a shotgun told a reporter that he would not “risk it” by selling his gun for cash, because of the police.
Interesting. I posted the usual comment about how these events are political theater whose real effects are defrauding poor and ignorant people of valuable property while increasing the demand for new guns and wasting police resources for political purposes.
I guess they did not want that comment to be seen.
