Night three of the Republican National Committee culminated in a speech from GOP nominee Mitt Romney, and the ratings rose accordingly.
As was the case during the first two nights of the RNC, Fox News Channel was the most watched TV news outlet, besting the broadcast networks from 10-11PM. Last night, however, the gap between FNC and its competitors was even wider, as it topped the next two networks, NBC and ABC, combined in total viewers. Every outlet except NBC improved on its Tuesday night ratings in both total viewers and the adults 25-54 demo.
Compared to the final night of the 2008 RNC it was a different story however. Fox News was just about flat compared to 2008, losing around -2% of its viewership, while NBC (-56%), ABC (-26%), CBS (-30%), CNN (-52%)and MSNBC (-25%) were down mid double digits.

CSPAN isn’t part of the ratings service. People are a lot more savvy to the MSM idiocy and bias and probably turned to CSPAN. Also, YouTube plays a major role. I watched both Ryan and Clint on it today and will watch Romney’s tonight at my leisure.
Yeah 90% of people have made up their minds. The morons that haven’t are a big part of the viewing audience nhoping beyond hope that they get to be in a focuse group and decry the negative ads that actually work more on independents than on ideologues like us.
Not to mention other venues such as iphones, youtube, etc.
Last night was the opening game of the college football season. ESPN’s ratings for the Vanderbilt-South Carolina game were through the roof.
C-Span, in fact, I heard all kinds of complaints that the other news outlets weren’t showing it all and people were mad.
I did not meet anybody today who did not watch most of it. Most of them watched on the internet as did I. In fact, my TV hasn’t been on it once this week but I’ve seen every speach. How about you?

I watched it all on my computer, C-Span was my choice.
I decided to drop all cable TV a month ago, and haven’t missed anything important.
NBC and CNN down by more than 50 percent. Good grief. Another election with declines in viewership like this and they’ll be gone!
I watched C-Span. I wanted to be able to listen without talking heads telling me what I should think about what I was hearing.
New viewing outlets and social media.
Minds made up.
No "draw" gimmick like the first black nominee or first female running mate in a generation.
We'll see if Obama's convention is the draw it was 4 years ago. I predict it won't be.
I watched it on CSPAN. Maybe many others did, too?

After, I tried to watch Fox's post analysis but their site was an exercise in aggravation. And ads. Too many ads.
I went to C-Span and stayed there once O’Reilly was going to skip the convention coverage for his John McCain interview. It really ticked me off and realized I liked the C-Span coverage better as I didn’t have to listen to the “talking heads”
These numbers are meaningless. The Romney numbers just reflect the “over-nights”. Those are numbers from the top 10 media markets. The final nationwide numbers won’t be out till Tuesday. The McCain numbers are finals.
Sure--the employment of one Barack Hussein Obama. He is destroying our country and people don't want that. Sometimes you just have to let people go...
Watched C-span both nights. I turned to PBS (no cable-’cause I’m tired of the gay propaganda) for about a minute, got tired of the blah-blah-blah and turned on the computer for streaming from C-span.
I watched the RNC on CSPAN. No blather.
