Bovine excrement. No, life isn’t always fair, but the primaries were obviously rigged. Guess you didn’t watch the talking heads on tv who proclaimed Romney the winner beforehand. Where do you think they got that from?

You mean he didn’t really win those primaries? Did they rig the voting machines or something?

You’ve got to be a Paulbot.

4th estate saw the Communist Ogabe going down, so they got behind the most liberal GOP establishmentarian, in hopes of preserving Progress, while enduring a Repub admin. Lots of leninists in the GOP too. The Commies will be back with a vengeance.

He/she seems to be claiming the votes weren’t real. This is loony conspiratorial garbage that has no place on FR.

Heck no. The guy is too out there even for me.

Well, hey, you go ahead and vote for the pre-selected candidate, Romney. Let the party continue to stick you with liberal candidates. I bet those of you who will abandon your principles and vote for him will be griping about him two minutes after he takes the oath of office.

I’ll try to resist the urge to say, I told you so.

You haven’t explained how he was the “pre-selected candidate” and you aren’t going to. Anyone who listens to you is a fool.

Romney got the bulk of the favorable press and the party’s financial resources. I could see that and I have bad eyesight.

By the way, it’s “she.”

You are promoting the first officially, openly, aggressively, pro abortion republican presidential candidate in history, one who is officially rejecting the republican Party Platform on abortion.

And my alternative is who???

You might have missed this when you signed up, but FR is a CONSERVATIVE website, not a gop website. As such, conservatives of all flavors post here. Including some such as myself who are not members of the gop, never have been, and probably never will be.

Great! Thanks for the heads up. So you are voting for the other guy? Good for you... Buh-bye now.

Lesson not taught, lesson not learned.

How about this lesson. "Cut off nose to spite face".

Good lesson?. No?? I thought not. So hold your nose and vote Romney. No? Then get out of the way and quit pouting. Paul is not on the ticket.

How big an effect has learning this news had on you?

If you are assisting a man to change the GOP to an abortion party, then you really don’t care.

There is no lesson, no nose to cut off, merely an issue that you are indifferent to.

If more Republican candidates stood their ground against the GOP, like Akin, maybe Jack Ryan wouldn’t have dropped out of the Senate race in 2004, and barack obama wouldn’t be sitting in the White House now.

Instead of getting behind an acceptable Conservative with the chance to win, we divided the vote among several candidates based on litmus tests.

Disagree. The "several candidates" bit was Rove's idea -- evidence? Well, the presence of Ed Rollins on Michele Bachmann's campaign staff, for one thing. That tells you where her input was coming from. That's Point One. Point Two is, the advice obviously was not, "Oh, wait, Michele -- if too many conservatives like you jump in, there won't be enough money to mount a credible challenge to the GOP-E candidate, Mitt Romney. Are you sure you want to do this? There are not enough dollars and votes to get you to the nomination, and you'll only end up preventing another conservative from challenging the RiNO's and RNC."

She was NOT getting that sort of advice, prima facie on the evidence of her own actions.

Consider too the sudden reversal of Rick Perry's earlier decision to stay in Texas. Who told him, "Come on in, Rick, the water's fine -- this is your year, your year to win it all, your last chance for the Big Brass Ring, and yes, of course you're perfectly well-suited and have the right background to seek national office -- people in Ohio and Michigan will just love you!"

No, the RiNO's baited those people into the race. Only Mitt had the money to go the distance, and getting everyone else into the race was their way of destroying any chance of a successful conservative challenge: dry up the money, and turn the competition against one another.

We didn't do that.

Pure Rove. Pure evil. But I repeat myself.

Anyone who listens to you is a fool.

You might want to hold off finalizing that peremptory judgment until after you've made a fairer showing of common sense than our Friend has -- so far, you're trailing.

Good post, I’m glad that you were willing to put out the effort to describe all that history.

You're quite welcome, and thanx for the kind words.

We have GOT to do something about Karl Rove.

The Tea Party Caucus in the House would appear to be the place to start. Where are Karl's testicles, financially? What interest is he most committed to defending? What will cause him infinite political pain? And most of all, what revelation, disclosure, or suit at law will most likely incapacitate him politically? Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes, but Rove does not want conservatives in the Senate. I wish Rove would have talked this way about the ‘Rats who were savaging his boss W every day, but he submissively rolled over like the bitch dog he is. He is always OK with attacking conservatives like Angel, O’Donnell and now Akin. Rove helped sink them all but he is never good with attacking socialist ‘Rats. Aikins misspoke one time and Rove is ready to “kill” him, but he thinks that our president should not be called out for his socialist actions. Rove is an elitist who thinks much like the elitist ‘Rats. Conservatives are his enemy. If Rove dislikes Aiken it seems to me like a good reason to back him.
