SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Election Day isn’t for another two months, but President Obama is pushing his fans not to wait that long.

Following his standard exhortation to register, Obama told the 10,000 people gathered to see him in Urbandale that they should take advantage of the state’s early-voting rules.

“In Iowa, you don’t have to wait until Nov. 6 to vote,” he told 10,000 people in Urbandale. “You can be among the first to vote in this election starting, Sept. 27.”

And then go to California and vote, and then to Ohio, and on to Florida. I was once registered in 4 States and could vote. It’s easy. REAL easy to circumvent the law and vote several times.

This early voting has to be stopped. The first Tuesday after the first Monday is the proper date. Local elections are different. But this is a National Election and the rules should be identical in all 57 states...

Believe it or not, I like this. I think it is easier for Republican poll watchers ensure that things are done correctly during early voting when people trickle in than on election day when you have hordes of people voting. Just a thought.

I agree with you 100%. The actions of both parties the past 10,20 yrs. in “freeing” up voting on so many areas is both disgusting and should be illegal. There should be a right, such as an emergency etc. so that a small number of people who happen to be caught in circumstances not of their making, could go in and vote.but voters in this country have become sloppy and LAZY...DRIVE THRU VOTING???YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING.
The more lax the rules for voting, the easier it is to cheat and monkey with the polls.....it's disgusting....our right to vote is so very PRECIOUS....and we as a nation seem to take it for granted, and those who don't vote should be ashamed of themselves.
we can see what happens when a citizenry doesn't stay informed and does not pay attention to what goes on with our gov.

Translation: Vote early before you have too much time to think about what a lousy job I have done as president or hear too much of what the Republicans or your more sensible neighbors are saying.

I didn’t like hearing him holler for voters to register and vote online. Talk about making voter fraud easy!

You want early? Why don’t we just “deem” that the votes in 2008 were actually early 2012 votes. Obama wins!
