Sorry, Mom, but here goes.
Look up “chutzpah” and you’ll see Howie’s picture in the definition.
Everything he says about Mumbles is spot on, and funny too.
But has Howie ever listened to a tape of his own pontifications? He cannot complete a thought, let alone the show’s telephone number. He’s the poster boy for Attention Deficit Disorder.
Howie is a loveable little fuzzball in his own right, but he cannot string together two thoughts while talking.
He is a great columnist, but Fumbles should not be criticizing Mumbles.
Considering that WRKO re-signed him in ‘07 and this year,
Howie—even with ADD—must still have something to offer.
Otherwise he’d be off the air or one some little 1,000
watt station nobody can find.

Tune in tomorrow and hear his fill in, McScreamer. Ugh. He may seem to not be able to string together two thoughts while talking but it could be worse. A LOT worse. OK, Howie may not be the most articulate, "silver-tongued" radio host going, but as a regular listener, I would not exactly go as far as you in making him out to be bordering on "duncehood!"
An for the most part, he is mostly Conservative and takes great pleasure is skewering the Lib Pols in Taxachussetts as well as throughout the country.
Hope he gets (and I think he will) a National syndicated show when his gig with WRKO is up in 2 years. PS: For a "local yokel" he manages to get many nationally recognized, notable guests to appear on his show.
