DETROIT -
carjack attempt shoots back A Detroit woman targeted by would-be carjackers surprised them by shooting back at them.
Alaina, who asked only to be identified by her first name, said she walked out of a store at Plymouth Road and Myers Road earlier this month and was confronted by two men. One of them started shooting in an attempt to rob Alaina and steal her sport utility vehicle.
Alaina was shot and wounded. Her vehicle was hit several times, but she has a concealed pistol permit and she returned fire.

This is the second story I’ve read in the past few days where someone has shot a bad guy with their concealed pistol permit. My permit isn’t even loaded.

I was gonna say....instead of waiting for my new gun, I’d be better off just loading my permit. And since I always carry my permit, no more worries about tragic boating accidents!

Wonder how this one would have ended in NY or Chicago?Or in New Jersey. Unless politically connected, she would not have been legally armed, and would presently be either dead, robbed and injured or in jail awaiting trial for the crime of self-defense.
