Barring a meltdown of some sort, Mitt Romney won the election Thursday night as he gave the undecided voters a reason to vote for him. Not only did he give them a reason they heard the reason to be excited about the candidate as well as the future of this Country. If after four long years as President the best you have is that you are not George Bush, you have given your boss a reason to send you a pink slip. Most adults have given up on the pointing the finger at the other guy in Junior High which explains why it is still so popular in the DNC.

Romney did a good job by staying “inside himself” as the sports guys like to say.

He presented himself to America as a skilled executive with much experience if an otherwise bland personality, the classic “ordinary person capable of extraordinary things” often referred to at the core of American exceptionalism.

This makes for a perfect contrast to the soaring rhetoric and inane promises of Heaven’s own Comrade Baryosha al Obamsky, messiah and king of the roller derby, aka His Haughtiness.

Romney will roll up his sleeves but keep the tie on, Mr. Fix It, Ward Cleaver, the same Mormon casino floor worker whose simple honesty and morality saved Las Vegas from the wrath of employee skimming and other corruption long ago.

He really did save the Olympics and he has the references to show for it. Boy does he ever. And like Paul Ryan said, “What does that remind you of?”

That’s right, the 2002 Olympics were a foreshadowing of today’s crony ridden American corruptocracy. Find me another man who can put the names Mike Eruzione, Scott Hamilton and Derk Parra on the last page of the same resume. Wow.

You see what a good politician Romney is, what a good campaigner. He brought out Clint Eastwood to leave unsaid but certain that “a man’s got to know his limitations.”

Romney really does. He was perfectly himself and that was as close to perfect as it gets in this ruthless business.

That is one thing that is hopeful about Romney. His team is showing themselves politcally savvy. Being the first to LA and making 0 follow them was brilliant.

We can hope he takes that same savvy to the White House. He would be the first politically nimble GOP President since Reagan.

Absolutely brilliant post!

You capsulized (is that a word?) the strength of Romney better than any pundit I have heard on TV.
