Our side needs to learn that “civility” doesn’t work with the bass turds in the Obama regime. The sooner they learn that, the better chance they will have in November.

As I told another poster in a different thread, it’s politics: This way the message is transmitted to millions while Team Romney/Ryan keep their hands clean for those Independents, squishy Kumbaya Republicans and Democrats who are leaning towards voting Obama out. It’s actually brilliant, and I’d bet $100 that all of this was scripted weeks ago. I grew up in Southern California and lived a few doors down from a pretty busy character actor who you’d recognize in an instant. He once told my father and I something along the lines of “If you see something happen on TV or film, it wasn’t there by accident, it was put there on purpose.”

Clint’s talk served its purpose and left the intended impression.
His speech isn’t what we want to highlight though.
We put out an empty chair on our lawn tonight. We will see if this works better than the Republican signs that are always stolen.
I know everyone has been trying very hard to put a positive spin on Clint’s speech, but to the people who don’t read FR, the speech was a disaster. Clint looked and sound like Jim from the tv show ‘Taxi’. He ate up time with his disjointed meanderings and so other speakers could not speak. The convention had to cut a biographical video that would of gone a long way to introducing and humanizing Mitt to the rest of the USA.
I’m all for trying to make the best of a bad situation, but let’s not delude ourselves into thinking that Clint hit one out of the park.

The point was made. Anything more and the point would be lost... he is what he is —— an empty suit.
Really? It’s driving the left insane. By any measure, that’s “hitting it out of the park.”
As for his meanderings and eating up time, the teleprompter cut out-—he was winging it. And he could have taken even longer, as far as I’m concerned. The alternative probably would have been some speaker bleating that yes, women do matter and they work really hard. Or someone eager to show they could speak Spanish.

‘Bill Maher: Clint Eastwood ‘Killed’ With Empty Chair Performance’
Comedian Bill Maher may be an avid political and financial supporter of President Barack Obama, but he still found the rambling “sit down” that octogenarian Clint Eastwood gave the POTUS, via an empty chair at the RNC, funny, reports Politico.com.
The ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’ host said that though he had no idea that Eastwood was such an “a**hole,” he “killed” his routine:
“As a performer, as a stand-up comedian for 30 years who knows how hard it is to get laughs, excuse me, he went up there … without a net, on a tightrope. There was no teleprompter. He did a bit with just an empty chair and killed,” Maher said. “He committed to it, it was consistent and it worked.
“People have been saying for years: these conventions are too scripted, they’re too slick, they’re too overproduced,” he added. “A guy who went up there who wasn’t slick … and killed with the crowd? I gotta give him props for that.”
