Thousands of private aircraft owners flew missions in relief effort on their own dime. The coordination was massive and amazing. They started flying immediately after the storm passed. So, there was a massive armada of aircraft flying in relief supplies to all points throughout a 500 mile radius of the coast.

That’s exactly what disaster response looks like in the US. Awesome from any angle.
