The left's war on traditional marriage took a truly disgraceful turn Monday.
The folks at Salon actually published a piece entitled "Gay Couples Have Happier Kids."
The sub-headline read, "Studies show that the traditional nuclear family is not better. It's a dying model -- and that's a good thing":
If you want what’s best for your kids, one surefire way to provide them with a healthy, happy home is to make sure they have lesbian parents. In the longest-running study of lesbian families to date, zero percent of children reported physical or sexual abuse—not a one. In the general population, 26 percent of children report physical abuse and 8.3 percent report sexual abuse.
Of course, they'll have a re-education camp to see if any straights can be converted. And death camps for those who can't.
Those studies cited show no such thing based on “science”. These were self selected studies meaning that the candidates knew what the study was testing and volunteered the answers. Do you really expect people who know they are having a study of the validity of their alternative lifestyle to not answer questions in such a way to produce an affirmative result? The Regnerus study on the other hand applied a rigid scientific methodology designed to eliminate the bias of such “survey studies?” which is in vogue in the social sciences.
The big problem with the lesbian study in particular is the definition of happy and the definition of harm. Also the abuse analysis is not the least capable of being answered by the self selected group. Its like excluding the most likely to be disfunctional individuals and then exclaiming that you found no disfunction. The reason for the screaming concerning the Regnerus study is that it applys real science to the issue and that is where the gay activists will always lose. If they can’t gin up the data and have researchers intimidated into never reporting findings not supportive of their harmful lifestyle they lose.
This is why it is very important conservatives stay active in the sciences. So much of leftist activism claims to use “science” when in reality they are using loaded dice.

I once had an acquaintance who married a woman who’d left a lesbian relationship in which they’d adopted a boy. He was always complaining about trying to get the boy to stop acting like a sissy.

That explains why my family works pretty well. My mom and my my wife’s parents are just 45 minutes away, so my kids spend almost as much time there as do at home, at least on weekends.
I suppose if we had a big house with everybody moved in, or maybe a multi-unit compound, things would really rock.

I expect Salon ran that piece because Regnerus (who recently released his study showing kids raised by gays fare WORSE than others) was just vindicated by the University of TX after being attacked on ethics violations by gay advocacy. The war continues...

Of course, they HAD to come out with this fiction after Regnerus was exonerated last week on his study of the harmful outcomes on children raised by homosexuals. This was perfectly predictable.
So the article was put out by Salon.com which was registered by a J D Rhea in Oregon who’s registered several other domain names which appear to pertain to salons and the fashion industry which means he’s most likely gay. Why would you expect anything else. That way they can raise you boys and rent them ou to NAMBLA
