Better known as Yang Berhormat Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Harris bin Mohd Salleh, the sixth Chief Minister of the state of Sabah, in Malaysia.
And if you think that the UN is kleptocratic and dysfunctional now, just wait for this to be implemented! The most logical result would be to immediately requisition all wealth from the 1st World (Europe, Japan, US and Anglo-Saxon derived countries) to feed the endless black hole of 3rd World dictatorships.
I suggest we move it into the former EU building in Brussels when the EU collapses and abandon it like a bad idea, also not spend another red cent on it.
The UN was supposed to be a forum for negotiation, with other nations providing advice and council, and if need be, assistance. It was not to emulate a government.
Does anyone believe for a moment they won’t picks favorites?
And I’m betting they will push for a fully democratic government. You know, where democracy is three wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.
Then we should declare war on the UN and re-take the Pacific Island that we donated for the cause. I hear Iwo Jima is available and hasn't been invaded for years.
Here’s a better idea: Make the UN little more than an international diplomatic forum of bilateral-only national agreements and conflict resolution, under the arbitration of a neutral third nation.
That is, as a meeting place for two nations to set up trade and other agreements, with a third, neutral nation to insure they use appropriate phrasing in their agreement, that there is equitable “consideration”, that is, a fair exchange between the two, without bribery, corruption or exploitation.
Likewise, whenever there was a bilateral disagreement, the neutral country agreed to by both would act as a binding arbitrator, and would provide monitors to ensure performance.
Agreements or disagreements greater than two nations would be in a different forum.
That says it all right there.
No Security Council = No permanent US leadership = No Veto of any UN edict affecting the US.
And to top it off, they want half of our Navy, too.
Promote the U.N. as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one-world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the U.N. as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)
Soft-peddling the one world government concept.
UN out of US; US out of UN! Send them packing to Brussels, Paris or Beijing. Hey, you progressive Americans who worship the UN, wouldn’t you be happier in Brussels, Paris or Beijing?
