The FR Canteen is Free Republic's longest running daily thread
specifically designed to provide entertainment and moral support for the military.
The doors have been open since Oct 7 2001,
the day of the start of the war in Afghanistan.
We are indebted to you for your sacrifices for our Freedom.
New Yorkers and Mass drivers are the worst.
They suck in ways that have never sucked before.
You Passed Your Driver's Test ....Sort Of.... |
You're a good driver - at least, when you want to be. The scary part is that I have no idea which ones I got wrong. LOL! |
Hello from Idaho....God Bless our Troops!!!
((hugs)) Fredd not to happy cannot run around here. I spoke with my neighbor in my town a few hours ago, she had a wolf in the road in front of her place yesterday. Sucks Fredd won’t like the new rules.
Being a retired CDL driving instructor for the gubmit your headline grabbed my attention. First time in the canteen, I believe. Thanks for baiting me in here :)
Some folks are good drivers in their dreams. Most haven’t seen a State Drivers Manual since they were 16. Times and rules change. I used to begin my classes by giving them to my students. Flunked my fair share of applicants.
Have a great day and buckle up. Google “Room to Live” by a dear friend. God bless our folks in government service.
I have passed my drivers test.
I should HOPE SO! LOL!

You Failed Your Driver's Test |
If you have a driver's license, it needs to be revoked! |
It wasnt the first time it happened in sports, and it certainly wont be the last. But perhaps mentioning it again can help keep us from making a similar shameful error.
A college coachone noted for his Christian characterresigned in disgrace after it was discovered that he had violated rules clearly spelled out by the National Collegiate Athletic Association. One magazine article concluded: His integrity was one of the great myths of college football.
This was certainly an embarrassing time for the coach, but heres the most sobering part: It can happen to any of us. The temptation to go behind the hidden door of secrecy in our lives and do things that dishonor the Lord haunts us all. Indeed, we are all capable of turning our own integrity into a mythof turning our testimony for Jesus into a sham. No matter what the temptation, we are all vulnerable.
So, how do we avoid giving in? We acknowledge the universality of temptation (1 Cor. 10:13). We recognize the dangerous results of giving in to sin (James 1:13-15). We keep accountable to fellow believers (Eccl. 4:9-12). And we plead with God for help not to fall (Matt. 26:41). Only Gods grace and power can keep us from falling and pick us up when we do.
Read: James 1:12-21

Ok, here's my problem with this one:
#10 - ok to turn left on a one-way to one-way? Must be city driving.
#7 - how does a pedestrian ALWAYs have the right of way? They think they can just step out in front of a moving vehicle?
It's suppose to be at crosswalks and intersections with walk-don't walk lights.
This is so misleading to pedestrians and causes them to get hit.
#4 - who drives 4 car lengths from another when doing 40? Maybe 1 or 2 car lengths.
So I failed the first time for those reasons.
And I was happy to read that rules change from state to state,
which by the way is totally loony.
But explains why there seems to be so many
new stupid people in the area.
Seriously, the MVA & States really need to come into the 21st century!!!
But, please stay right where you are.
Keep the troops and their families entertained.
The Canteen is
Come on in and sit for a while.
There's always plenty of coffee, tea,
pancakes, conversation, silliness,
and plain old BS
