Anyone watching the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday night heard the number 4.5 million several times.

"Despite incredible odds and united Republican opposition, our president took action, and now we've seen 4.5 million new jobs," San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, the party's keynote speaker, said.

While that is indeed a gain of 4.5 million, it's only a net gain of 300,000 over the course of the Obama administration to date [...] According to a study released last week by the liberal-leaning National Employment Law Project, low-wage fields such as retail sales and food service are adding jobs nearly three times as fast as higher-paid occupations.

In short, the 300,000 jobs created are 'burger flipping' jobs.

While that is indeed a gain of 4.5 million, it's only a net gain of 300,000 over the course of the Obama administration to date. The private jobs figure stood at 111 million in January 2009, the month Obama took office.

Sounds like he's responsible for a loss of 4.2 million jobs. (That's how the MSM would report it, if he were not a dem-wit-ocrat.)

"...retail sales and food service..."

Scanner engineer and burger manufacturing specialist are both good, high-paying careers for the 21st century. Thank you, _res__ent Obama!

A net gain of 300,000 jobs in three years in an economy that needs 180,000 new jobs per MONTH just to maintain the status quo. And they are bragging about this?

In short, MOST of the jobs were at CHIK-FIL-A.

I’ll give CNN credit as far as they went, and wouldn’t really expect them to print the following:

In January of 2007 when Pelosi and Reid took control of Congress we had 115 million working (not to mention a heck of a lot of off-the-books illegals.)

Today we have just over 111 million working (and the illegal alien flows have reversed for the first time in decades.)

One wonders what the last two years of job growth would have been if we’d have left Pelosi in charge of the House?

Bush, too, inherited a recession, and passed Clinton’s job numbers two years later, going on to create another 4 million additional jobs beyond Clinton’s peak jobs number.

Obama still hasn’t reached Clinton’s peak number (set in December 2000, almost 12 years ago!) and is still over 4 million jobs under Bush’s peak number.

Conclusion: The potential for job growth under a GOP Congress and President is absolutely tremendous. Just get the government out of the way.

“In short, MOST of the jobs were at CHIK-FIL-A.”

Don’t we wish! Then we’d have 4.5 million people learning to work in a friendly, God-honoring environment, learning corporate integrity and cheerful customer service.

Plus they would have been eligible for the $1.6 million in scholarships Chick-fil-A awarded to employees this year.

Perfect! Now the rest of the libtards know that Oblamer and his commie party are liars and complete screw ups. This is the fourth time recently that CNN has called them out. If CNN keeps this up, I might start taking them seriously.

Then how can there be a net increase in the unemployment rate between January 2009 (7.8%) and now (8.3%)? And the 8.3% doesn’t count people who are unemployed and have stopped looking who would have been part of the 7.8% 3 years ago.

No they aren’t- they are falsely bragging abotu ‘creating 4.5 million jobs’ knowing full well that many many guillible peopel will fall for their BS and knowing full well that the main stream media will NOT call them to the carpet for the lies! I’m actually very shocked that CNN even bothered doing a ‘fact check’

Hey, “fellow travelers” at CNN.
0bama is exposing your communist agenda by doing it “in the open”.

You’ve got to get rid of him.

Hillary would have been more “Fabian” about it.
