I always have liked the quote below from William Gibson's, Count Zero about a transhuman:

"And, for an instant, she stared directly into those soft blue eyes and knew, with an instinctive mammalian certainty, that the exceedingly rich were no longer even remotely human."

(Which modernizes the line from F. Scott Fitzgerald, "Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me.")
