Rain concerns forcing the Democrats to move President Obama's convention speech to a smaller venue Thursday night won't dampen spirits or dilute the president's message, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Wednesday.
The Democratic leader said the weather is "a higher power" that the president can't control.
"It's rain, what can we do?" Pelosi said at a breakfast sponsored by The Christian Science Monitor. "There are some decisions that are made from a different place and whether it rains or not is not in the president's control."

Funny.... four years ago I heard how Obama was going to stop the planet from overheating and the seas from rising, and that Bush and Rove were responsible for Hurricane Katrina.
I suggest it’s 10,000 empty chairs (well, 10,001, since Obama will be there) that’s forcing the venue change, not a minor chance of rain.

So, just to review, Obama will fix Global Warming, but stopping some rain is above his pay grade.

Considering Granny Granholm said God sent Issac to wipe out the Republican’s in Tampa it is indeed ironic that her god can’t stop a little rain. I thoiught four years ago was the day the tides stopped rising, guess not.

I thought he could :). Oh, it was 4 years ago that he had the power to part the seas. Maybe he lost God’s favor because of all the policy attacks against Christians obama has implemented in the last 4 years.
Bush, they said, had the HAARP machine and directed Katrina into New Orleans, and it was bequeathed to Obama. But the local weatherman said there is no increase in possibility of storms in Charlotte. Obama said he would fill the football stadium. Now he realized he cannot do it and claims a storm is running them inside. The only storm I see coming is the shitstorm Obama would see if he could not deliver on his promise to fill the 70,000 seat stadium.

Controlling the weather is Algore’s job. Barry needs to speak to him about it. Supposedly, Al is a Democrat. I’m sure Al can help him out.
