Kabardino-Balkaria is a is a federal subject of Russia (a republic) located in the North Caucasus. The Kabardins are Adyghe/Circassians. The Russians ethnically the Adyhge in the Russian-Circassian war pushing them south and then dividing them on tribal lines.
