Political donations by NFL team for the 2011-2012 election cycle

Now that both election season and the NFL's regular season are underway, it's the perfect time to take a look at the intersection of professional football and politics. Using the handy Fundrace search tool, it is possible to look up political donors by employer. Fundrace only includes donations of $200 or more, so smaller donations do not appear. What follows is a list of all political donations from the employees of each of the NFL's 32 teams for the current election cycle (the only donations excluded are those for Gridiron PAC, the NFL's nonpartisan political action committee)...

How does someone donate $15,000 to Obama without going over the limit?

Dang it. I suppose that means I have to stop making fun of the Bengals.

Nah. :-)

I read that SI article on the plane about the Colts Irsay and didn’t surprise me. He spouted every libtard talking point about the poor but in every picture, he was openly flaunting how rich he is.

Mike Tomlin is conservative compared to the “Loony Left” Rooneys.

Who knew Chuck Fairbanks was still alive? Much listed as head coach of the NE Patriots?

Remember the Stillers last SB win? Butt kiss Rooney was angling for the job as ambassador to Ireland ? During the trophy presentation he, first thing, thanked Mr Obama for his support. Didn’t mention the fans nor the taxpayers who got held up for his stadiums. Dem crony capitalism at it’s best.

He's head coach of the NFL's official Team Obama. What do you expect?

Until the day I due, I will never ever pass up an opportunity to bash the Pittsburgh Steelers. Human decency demands that one root against them.

I love my Cowboys, but it looks like the Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans are great conservative-run organizations, too.

I’ve always heard Robert Kraft was a Republican..but he donated to Obama?

I am struck by how FEW donations there are, shows that most people...even those with means, don’t really care THAT much.

And the San Diego Chargers, too.
