Leadership: President Obama may hope that by recruiting Bill Clinton as campaign cheerleader he can wrap himself in Clinton's economic record. But Obama just exposes how far he's moved away from Clinton's policies.
In an ad for the Obama campaign, Clinton talks about all the "investments" liberal code word for government spending Obama wants and how that will grow the middle class and lead to a full employment economy.
"That's what happened when I was president," Clinton says in the ad.
Except that's not what happened.

What they do have in common: Both wives are ugly.
He gave up his law license, therefore he cannot practice law.I doubt he was very good at it anyway.
Bill and Barry are no father, raise by a worthles mother selfish brats.
“5 Ways Obama Is No Bill Clinton”
Are we to assume from this headline that being Bill Clinton is a good thing? Clinton was the guy who extended Carter’s Community Reinvestment Act and repealed Glass Steagal and had his HUD pressure FNMA to guarantee more substandard mortgages. He is a principal actor in the financial meltdown.
Clinton was the real, first black president. Clinton acts like he cares about someone else better that Obama and Clinton gives longer speeches.
Obama is too much a biological/ideological issue of 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radicals (psycho spoiled brats) to heed Republicans.
But the Clintons and Obama are united on one thing..
Bill Clinton has long been identified with the Third Way -- and the 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus radicals (psycho spoiled brats) that took over the traditional, patriotic Democratic Party in the 1970s. Obama is of course an ideological issue of 1960s Marxist-Alinsky radicals.
An Internet source says the Third Way is
"...Something different and distinct from liberal capitalism with its unswerving belief in the merits of the free market and democratic socialism with its demand management and obsession with the state. The Third Way is in favour of growth, entrepreneurship, enterprise and wealth creation but it is also in favour of greater social justice and it sees the state playing a major role in bringing this about. So in the words of... Anthony Giddens of the LSE the Third Way rejects top down socialism as it rejects traditional neo liberalism. Report from the BBC, 1999"
Third Way means that ultra liberals finally! realize that communism cannot build wealth and thus cannot not work until there is wealth to snatch; and despite the BBC, Third Way does not totally reject neo liberalism; Third Way supports free trade and the market economy -- at least until those mechanisms have created the worldwide wealth that the Third Way ideologues wish to rule.
I have described Third Way as a Marxist revolution from the top down combined with Lenin's New Economic Policy (NEP) where the capitalists (useful idiots) are used to build wealth worldwide and then are discarded by the ideologues.

Only 5? They need to add about a million more.
He was born in this country.
And, he had the sense to get out of the way of the economy and let it rip. That might have been more from political necessity than smarts, but either way, he did it.
Man. How bad is it when I can find good things to say about a Clinton?
Bump to send to others
That is literally the only thing I can respect Obama for.
He is not the reprobate in his personal life that Clinton was.
#9 He hasn’t been credibly accused of rape
#10 He hasn’t masturbated in George Stephanopoulos’ sink
#11 He hasn’t fallen asleep while having “phone sex” on a non-secure phone
