Democrats are just trying to preempt the speculation about “what happened?” when there is no post-convention bounce after this disaster in Charlotte.

I’m curious if there has ever been a convention where there was a negative bounce?
This could be the one.

Yes, I would say it will stay “tight as a tick” until your boss is blown away in an “unexpected” landslide poofer.

Let the spin begin. "We're losing. We expected that, it's all part of the master plan."
I read a book a long time ago about the Japanese in WWII. It was later in the war, they were getting pushed back on all fronts, and their cities were getting bombed flat on a nightly basis.
Their media (at the time) dutifully reported that "Everything is OK. This is all part of the master plan. The government expected this to happen so there's nothing to worry about."
The more things change, the more they stay the same.

What a clown show. The Republicans could create 1000 ads from all that material. A bounce down is likely.

The AP is reporting this? The DNC internal polling must really suck.

Obama has topped out at 43% +/- a point or two until Nov. when he’ll get a great glimpse of an expanded flyover country which should serve him from getting lost on his farewell flight from the WH to Hawaii in Janurary.
