Mitt Romney's campaign issued a statement Wednesday demanding Democratic officials "cease and desist from comparing those with whom they disagree to Nazis" after the chairman of the South Carolina Democratic Party compared Gov. Nikki Haley (R-S.C.) to Adolf Hitler mistress Eva Braun.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. South Carolina Republican Gov. Nikki Haley did not hold back Wednesday afternoon during a Republican counter-convention press conference at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, after South Carolina Democratic Party chairman Dick Harpootlian compared her to Adolf Hitlers mistress Eva Braun.
Dick Harpootlian is an angry, hateful man that continues to embarrass South Carolina every time he opens his mouth, Haley said of Harpootlian.
Harpootlian made his comments Wednesday morning, addressing the fact that Haley and other Republicans have been holding their press events in a basement studio at the NASCAR Hall of Fame.
She was down in the bunker a la Eva Braun, he said.
Haley, who primarily spoke at the press conference about the need to address the economy and help small businesses, said Harpootlians comments were unfortunate.
I am spending everyday trying to tell South Carolinians and the rest of the country why we should be proud of the state, and he spends every day trying to diminish that so it is just unfortunate, she said.
Harpootlian was the third Democrat this week to apply a Nazi comparison to the GOP.

The Democrats are the ones who sound like Nazi’s
Another Day, Another (Third) Nazi Reference From a Democrat {S.C. DemoRat Chair)
“Monday it was California Democratic Party Chairman John Burton comparing Paul Ryan to notorious Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels.
Yesterday, a Kansas delegate — Pat Lehman, Dean of the Kansas delegation — compared Republicans to Hitler.
Well, if it’s Wednesday and Democrats are frustrated because racist America wont get its act together and vote for a failed president, you’re going to hear another Nazi reference:

Ping!
It’s projection. Libs are masters at it.
Anything to keep attention off the failed socialistic crime of Obama.
I was just going to respond identically. :)
If they keep this up they will lose any support of independent, centrist voters. Of course, they are beginning to realize that...and that serves only to fan the flames of their now white hot anger.
More than sounds, are. they raise taxes, so did the nazis, they hate jews, so does obooboo. they hate the church, so did the nazis, they hate guns, so did the nazis.
No doubt Obama will dispatch David Axelrod to respond to this outrageous fabrication...
This certainly won’t stop the left, but it will put them on the defensive. Highlight the fact that they are the ones using the over-the-top rhetoric.
“The Democrats are the ones who sound like Nazis”
Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, or:
National Socialist German Workers’ Party
Substitute ‘American’ for ‘German’ and it sounds pretty Democrat.
“...Hitler responded that Nazism was not exclusively for any class, and indicated that it favoured neither the left nor the right, but preserved “pure” elements from both “camps”, stating: “From the camp of bourgeois tradition, it takes national resolve, and from the materialism of the Marxist dogma, living, creative Socialism”.”

Yup. That sounds familiar too.
Our real problem is that both of the parties that matter are increasingly statist, coercive and uncontrollable.
Remember, Communist East Germany was called officially the "German Democratic Republic."
Seems like a better approach would be to let them continue and just say, “See America, this is who they really are!” over and over and over.

lol
No, don’t rein in the Nazi comments. Use those comments along with the Democrat intention to eliminate God from their platform.
Without a belief in God, there are no God-given rights of man. Without God-given rights of man, all rights emanate from the State and the State is Supreme.
If the State is Supreme, the constitution is worthless and the checks and balance system along with it.
