—— Villaraigosa seemed stunned about what happened with that vote. See, there can be unscripted moments at conventions after all. ——
But it WAS scripted, which makes this event even more astonishing. Someone posted a photo here of his teleprompter flat screen TV. It read: “Hearing a 2/3 majority, the motion has passed.”
That’s why he spoke the first few words, even though it was obvious that the voice vote was divided. He was simply reading the teleprompter. The fix was in. But the delegates weren’t in on it. He heard the response, and knew he was in trouble. He knew what result he was SUPPOSED to get, which is why he tried two more times.
This convention will live in infamy, despite the media’s attempt to suppress it.
I really wish somebody would play with the teleprompted, like in “Anchorman”.
“I’m Barack Obama....Go F Yourself, America.”
I am stunned to hear about the voice vote and the teleprompter.
I can’t believe he was reading a teleprompter to tell him what to say as he conducted the vote on that issue.
Do you mean to say that, a routine matter such as conducting a vote on a matter being considered by the convention has to be scripted?? I’m stunned.
yep... this moment will be a text book example from here on in... no more roll call votes in these conventions.
It’s clear the majority of dems side against Israel, as I know this to be true with all the people I know that are dems....
I find it weird...even when I was a dem, (up to mid 1995) I sided with Israel, I always knew which side had the correct values and created a good society.. Even wrote a song about it, which my label at the time would not release.

The "nays" had it all three times.
