The Unscripted DNC Chair

This needs to be played over...and over again:

http://youtu.be/cncbOEoQbOg

I feel like I might have been one of the first to hear about DNC Chair Villaraigosa getting Eastwooded yesterday, along with his deer-in-the-headlights moment...followed by 3 North Carolina recounts and a stolen decision. But here I am, probably one of the last to blog about it.

Actually...I think people should keep blogging about this for years to come. Never let a good crisis go to waste...recycle, recycle, recycle.

I just woke up half an hour ago and I still can't stop laughing over yesterday:

when Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, the convention chairman, came to the podium to ask for the approval of the delegates, those who shouted opposition to the language change were as loud, if not louder, than those who voiced their support.

Villaraigosa, in what quickly became an awkward moment, asked for the voice vote three times in all. After the second time, he paused for several seconds and looked behind him for guidance from a convention staffer -- possibly a parliamentarian -- before turning back and asking for a third vote.

Even though the no's were again as loud if not louder than the aye's on the third vote, Villaraigosa said he had determined that two thirds of those present had voted in favor. Boos filled the arena in response.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try, then cheat by applying Chicago rules and "in the opinion of the chair", ram it through anyway.

Sounds like they went off script. Kinda sucky when that happens, huh?:

Sources told The Huffington Post on Tuesday that the response took party officials by surprise, since the language of the platform had been carefully orchestrated to emphasize America's close ties to Israel and to avoid wading into controversial "final-status" issues, like the designation of Israel's capital.

Two sources also told HuffPost that officials with the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the bipartisan and staunchly pro-Israel interest group known as AIPAC, had vetted the draft and signed off on its provisions.

AIPAC-linked sources later vociferously denied the report, telling reporters that the organization had initially proposed language that included Jerusalem as the capital, and that their officials never reviewed the "full Middle East platform."

If the Romney campaign has anyone within its ranks posessing even modicum of media skill, it should be able to use video from the DNC convention to completely re-brand the Democrat Party.

Just a simple ad illustrating the ineptness of the DNC's ability to plan and carry out the logistics and agenda of a Convention for its delegates would be a powerful tool for asking:

"And, you want these folks to be in charge of your family's financial future, your health care, and your security?"

Drop the "empty chair" symbol. That was not the thrust of Eastwood's brilliant and itemized indictment anyway. It's the chair filled with inept but determined ideologues that is the real danger to America's future!

This was great and you know it will be almost ignored by the MSM as a result. You can expect another big story about a Republican gaffe being highlighted by the MSM.

So now we know where Pelosi and Reid got their training on how to ignore legislative protocols and democratic processes!

Did anyone catch the prayer before the DNC started yesterday afternoon? I was stuck in a waiting room while CNN was playing it - the Pastor made a veiled reference to abortion rights. Is it me, or is advocating killing babies, while praying to GOD kind of... anti-10 commandments, ‘ya know, GOD’s law.

Who was the bearded guy in the t-shirt whose spit was flying out of his mouth in psychotic rage every time he yelled “NO!” to God?

This Allen West ad was posted and then deleted from YouTube but I was able just a moment ago to access it through Drudge.

I am not sure this will work for you but it does answer the question about which candidate(s) possess "even modicum of media skill".

I thought it kind of a Pontius Pilate moment, and I don't blame Villawhatsis a bit for being astonished. I would have been.

Have you noticed how few white people are at the DNC convention? It's like a "Small world after all" crowd of Disney dolls modeling all these foreign costumes. Did you see all the Sikhs! What percentage of Sikhs make up America?

Why would they care about the Christian God?

Remember saying to husband how I would have wanted to get out of the stadium after the crowd shouted and denied and jeered at God. It was too much like something out of the Bible before the brimstone starts raining down. And denying Him three times! Shades of Eastern Orthodoxy...

Yes I saw it. It popped up on FR about a half hour after I posted my “modicum of skill” comment.

I wasn’t surprised it came from Congressman West’s office. That guy is on the ball.

It’s been removed from You Tube? I wonder why...
