The last person who did that was remorseful in the end. I don't think that this time will end the same.
I think the bigger issue is what this means for the Democrat Party in 2016. The atheist group shouting "No" is a strong, militant faction in the party. They will make moves to ensure that this does not happen to them again.
The Democrats have spent decades building a collection of anti-conservative factions. They have been able to appease them with a crumb here and there for years, but we are seeing them emboldened to a point where they will no longer be denied the podium.
Somehow I don’t think Obama will hang himself.
