HURT: Six things Clinton said at the DNC that undermined Obama
The Washington Times ^ | 9/6/2012 | Charles Hurt

....5) Perhaps the most shocking barb of the night came as Mr. Clinton was lauding Republicans and their convention.

“They looked good, they sounded good,” he said. “They convinced me that they all love their families and their children and were grateful they’d been born in America.”

Really? Giving a speech nominating Mr. Obama to a second term and Mr. Clinton raises the birther card? At the very least, the line highlights persistent questions about Mr. Obama’s patriotism and whether the first lady really is proud of her country yet.

A subtle, or not-so-subtle dig at the man who calls himself 0bama and the America-hating harridan he married as his beard?

What might Bill know about these two that we don't?

"and were grateful they’d been born in America."

Ouch. I didn't watch so that's the first I've heard Bubba said that. I guarantee Obama picked up on it. Would have loved to have been a fly on the wall and seen Barky's expression when he heard those words.

Everything and anything that Slick says and does must be weighed against one, and only one, criteria:

If Hillary is to win the WH in 2016, will she have a better chance if Obama wins, or is defeated this year?

The answer is obvious. Another four more years of Obama, and the Dems won't be able to elect a dog catcher for the next 50 years.

Clinton is doing a superficial job of supporting Obama..just enough to maintain the fiction that his hands are clean. I predict that he won't be campaigning that much for Obama...some excuse will be trotted out..maybe a slight medical condition..he needs to rest..

There were all sorts of reports during the 08 campaign that Clinton had the goods on the birther issue, and only held it back when they got a deal for Hillary. (They thought being Sec of State would bolster Hillary for future campaigns, but they didn’t foresee how her performance in that position would be such a glaring, miserable failure. About all she can do now is claim “I was just following BHO’s bad foreign policy orders” -— which is almost certainly true, but of little avail politically.)
Clinton could still leak out some very interesting information, evidence. Trust it.

Didn’t watch. Interesting.

And yes, Bill . . . Reagan did it in three years. Take that.

I’m sure the first lady is proud of Kenya.

True; a pundit mentioned that last week as well.

What if 80% of us are receiving government checks? What if border enforcement disappears completely? Dems might have a better chance than you might realize.

Heck, we're a few executive orders away from allowing Obama to put anybody, including himself, in office. After all, the Supreme Court isn't there to protect us from our poor decisions.

"Illegal" and "Unconstitutional" mean nothing anymore.

Eliminating the words, “god given” from the Democrat platform, told us that the Democrats do not believe in God-given anything, including God-given rights of man. Without God-given rights of man, all rights emanate from the State to be granted or taken away at will.

I believe that it is this Statist belief that led John Roberts to declare Obamacare constitutional and the court to rule against requiring voter ID in Texas.

You neglected to offer a Spanish version of your post.

That will become mandatory in Los Estados Combinados de Aztlán.

Bill knows where all of Hillary’s bodies are buried and Hillary knows where all of Bill’s bodies are buried and now both of them know where all of Obama’s bodies are buried.

Another 4 years of the kenyan and there will not be a country to elect a dogcatcher in.

I heard parts of Clinton’s speech while I was on the road. (Surfing the talk stations. Unfortunately, most of them had him on.) All I got was basically “Republicans and Democrats are the same”...as a Conservative, I can’t really argue against that point too much... But, I also noticed he skillfully both lauded and put down the Republicans while lauding his own ability to work with them...And in the end somehow weaved in support for the 0. He is definitely one slick willy.

Look we can micro-analyze all we want but let’s face it.

Clinton has an agenda and it is to move the country to the left. Yes, he’d prefer it if he was the one that delivered on healthcare instead of Obama but any win is still a win for the team.

Despite the PUMA distraction, most Hillary supporters voted for Obama and are now jumping up and down about gays and abortion.

I think Hillary has a better chance in 2016 if the Bamster gets reelected. Even if the economy get’s worse during those 4 years, which is likely, the Bamster will still, by executive order, create enough new voters that receive free money and benefits from the federal government, (illegals, cancelled welfare reform, expanded food stamps, etc.) that those on the receiving end will simply outnumber the producers. A vote for Hillary will simply be a vote to keep their payments coming, Greek style.
