I agree with the use of the word “migration” in this title vs. “immigration.” Previous generations of immigrants came here mostly to be Americans, to enjoy the fruits of liberty, and to become part of the American culture. My great grandfather labored for years after his arrival to purge any German accent because he was so committed to becoming an American. Unfortunately, a big part of this new batch are here for handouts and, if we're lucky, for a job. These are migratory populations that will scoot out of the U.S. the instant they think they can get a better deal somewhere else. There's nothing wrong with that, per se, but let's call them what they are, a migratory population, not American immigrants.

The scary thing is that so little has been done to combat this problem in the last thirty years that we are essentially already condemned to becoming another third world hole in the next century. At this point enough of them have been able to breed large numbers of citizen children who in turn breed like rabbits. Future demographics are looking ugly.
