” It is not in our power or right to take an innocent human life. But as God is the author of all life, he has that power and that right.”

Are you saying that those abortionists are doing God’s bidding? If so, keep that “God” with you. I will defy that God any day of the week.

Then perhaps you reject the Noahic flood?

Gen 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

Was Job also wrong?

Job 1:19 And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. [20] Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, [21] And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. [22] In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

Or did Peter, speaking in the power of the Holy Spirit, err in his assessment of who was responsible for Jesus’ death?

Act 2:23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Or did the Jerusalem church, also speaking in unison in the power of the Holy Spirit, err in their assessment of Pontius Pilate’s role in Jesus’ death?

Act 4:27 For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, [28] For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.

The only alternative I can see to a God who is in control, is one who is not in control, or a God who doesn’t exist (same thing). As I believe God exists, I must believe that he is also in control, just as much as I believe that abortion is murder, a clear violation of God’s law, and should not be done. There are no easy answers here, but God has given us cause, both to trust Him completely, and to avoid doing evil:

Mat 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. [7] Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!

Peace,

SR
