Talking Points Memo ^ | 9/6/2012 | Eric Kleefeld

Republicans signaled this week that they might have given up hope in two important swing states. TPM Slideshow: Romney Takes The Stage At The RNC

The Romney campaign and conservative groups like Crossroads GPS have pulled TV ads in Michigan, Romney’s home state, according to the Detroit News.

Nor are the campaign and super PACs running advertising in Pennsylvania, after unleashing a barrage there over the past five months.

It is still possible for groups to purchase TV advertising in either state at a later date.

The PollTracker Averages show President Obama ahead 48.9 percent to 45.4 percent in Michigan, and in Pennsylvania, where he leads 49.9 percent to 41.4 percent.

Some of these people are so gullible they will believe any propaganda piece.

It frustrates the hell out of me.

Most of the “no” votes against God yesterday came from the Michigan delegation...with signs reading “American Arab.” Between the Muslims in Dearborn and the Blacks in Detroit it could be a hopeless cause.

PA does this little tease every year...

Was electing a Republican senator in 2010 without voter ID a tease?
Was electing a Republican governor in 2010 without voter ID a tease?

It is amazing how gullible and chicken little so many here are. CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Senior Romney-Ryan campaign officials tell Fox News the campaign will launch an enormous media offensive on Friday, the day after President Obama accepts the Democratic Party's nomination for a second term. The push will include ad buys in several states that will cost tens of millions of dollars.

I am sure you are correct.
Wouldn’t it be a better strategy just to pull back on the ads and not announce in advance you are a failure in the state?

Why spend tons of money when it’s fighting a free tv and written media featuring the DNC convention? Hold back a few days/weeks and then pick up after the free stuff subsides. JMO

Don’t think this is a give-up, or it shouldn’t be. Way to early to throw in the towel. Wonder what’s up? Hoping it’s a chess move, but every time I hope that some moron on the Supreme Court is taking my rights away.

Libs must not have read the nielson ratings for last night’s speech, the same amount of people watched Honey Boo Boo and the Cowboys game

Those God-haters were from Michigan?! Dearbornistan I presume. (how embarrassing) There isn’t much Detroit that exists for them to HAVE a cause.

Didn’t I see an LA Times story here today saying they were out of OH now too?

And another thread about Virgil being on the ballot in VA?
