In The Opinion of the Chair: Obama's Democrats Telegraph Obama's Campaign

Just as America prepares to hear a plea from Barack Obama for four more years, The Daily Beast arrives with a big leak of Bob Woodward's latest big book.

Not helpful to the president's case. Not helpful at all. America does not need for more years of an in-over-his-head whiner; a petulant egomaniac who does not seem to understand the most basic of economic principles and who is a lousy negotiator to boot.

Last night Bill Clinton did his best to raise a prostrated presidency, but for all the reasons detailed in The Brief Against Obama and because of the unique personality Barack Obama brought to the office as depicted in the blockbuster 2016, all the king's horses and all the king's men aren't putting POTUS back together again.

And by early morning tomorrow we will all be treated to another unemployment report that will make it 42 consecutive months of this most disturbing of measurements remaining above 8% when the first promise of Team Obama was that passage of the Stimulus would guarantee that unemployment would never rise above 8%.

The convention has been on the fiasco trail from opening night when the introductory video proclaimed that "the government is the only thing we all belong to," but which topped that with the floor fiasco Wednesday which saw the majority of DNC delegates lustily booing God and Israel as a puzzled Convention chair Antonio Villaraigosa entered convention lore by using Chicago Rules to declare the platform amended when it obviously hadn't been amended. The Democrats couldn't muster a majority to endorse God and Jerusalem much less two-thirds. Those delegates are the folks running the agencies and staffing Team Obama at the polls. The cost of their collective incompetence is all around us in the smoking ruins of the Obama years.

Dems are putting on a happy face and will cling to any convention bounce that comes from the in-gathering of the base, but Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan return to the hustings tomorrow and Romney will be on Meet The Press Sunday, making the simple argument again and again: It isn't working, hasn't worked and won't work. Do you really want four more years of this on-going collapse of America?

We understand a lot of people in the Charlotte hall are on Obama's payroll, directly or indirectly. We understand that transfer payments are flooding out of D.C. to the dependent class and that class will vote --in person or by proxy under Chicago rules, often twice and three times.

But the GOP and independents are counting on the innate good sense of most Americans to call the whole mess off and start over.

When Ronald Reagan beat Jimmy Carter in 1980, Time Magazine had an issue with a cover picture of Reagan on the street the day after, over the title "A Fresh Start."

That cover hangs in my office, and I hope --pray really-- that there will be a second such cover on the wall in two months time.

There are real questions whether America could rebound from another four years of this disastrous stewardship. As Clint Eastwood said last week, sometimes you have to let them go, and the Democrats in convention have only reinforced that conviction. They are not fit top govern and their leader doesn't have a clue how to do so.

The prying out will not be easy, because the tactics used by Democrats through the early voting season and on Election Day so closely mirror those employed yesterday to jam through the result they wanted despite the repeated votes of their own delegates. It will take lots of lawyers and lots of GOTV and other infrastructure.

Looks like the book is on the shelves September 8.

Wonder whether Woodward will be the esteemed guest on the news/talk shows, as he formerly enjoyed?

When Obama loses their Nov. 7, 2012 cover story will be "We Are All Racists Now"

Ahhh..... Bob Woodward seeking those last 15 minutes of fame.

How sweet. This book will only be read by the NE Media Elite and moderate Dems who still think “All the Presidents Men” was the greatest movie ever.

The NYTimes is already using the jobs report as Barry’s excuse for not getting any convention bounce.

“Not helpful to the president’s case.”

A large bunch of obama’s voters cannot or will not read. It won’t hurt him in the least.

Those peeps might not read it. Any criticism of the Won doesn’t sit well with them.

No, he didn't. He didn't attack Romney at all (at least according to reports, as I couldn't stomach watching any part of that freak show), when he could have. The main theme of Fauxbama's campaign is that Romney is the latest incarnation of the Devil...and Billy Jeff never quite said anything along those lines. Mr. Blythe is, despite his faults (and they are legion) a truly great speaker. He knows EXACTLY what he's saying, and what he's not - and he knew the effect of not criticizing Romney. It was a perfunctory endorsement made by a master speaker (who, of course, lives to be the center of attention once more - so he had to make it LOOK good).

Let's not forget that he wants to have Hildabeast as POTUS in 2017, and that'll be more difficult after 8 years of Obama f-ups and arrogance than after 4 years of President Romney.

Ted Kennedy did the same thing to Jimmy Carter in 1980, he wanted to take out Carter, so he could run against Reagan in 1984.

The reason Kennedy didn’t run in 1984, nor ever again, was because the Reagan Administration knew of Kennedy’s communications with the KGB, and would have released the information to the public had Kennedy run for POTUS in 1984.
