AFTER A week as topic No. 1 in American politics, former Carmel Mayor Clint Eastwood said the outpouring of criticism from left-wing reporters and liberal politicians after his appearance at the Republican National Convention last Thursday night, followed by an avalanche of support on Twitter and in the blogosphere, is all the proof anybody needs that his 12-minute discourse achieved exactly what he intended it to.
“President Obama is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people,” Eastwood told The Pine Cone this week. “Romney and Ryan would do a much better job running the country, and that’s what everybody needs to know. I may have irritated a lot of the lefties, but I was aiming for people in the middle.”

It’s rather amusing to see an “old senile man” deliver one of the most witty, coherent, and creative speechs at the RNC, let alone any political convention for that matter.
One has to wonder why the Left bothers to viciously attack a little “old senile man”. After all, isn’t he just senile?

Eastwood has generally stood on a left-leaning libertarian platform for decades.

My comment “Clint for President!” is a congratulatory cheer for his remark.
You are correct. Like the “Godfather” you can mine the dialogue for gems and find them.
But what is particularly great is the human relationships that form among the little band that Josie brings together despite his druthers. Their dependence upon each other for survival causes them to overcome their ideological antagonisms. Mutual respect for each other as human beings overshadows the stereotypical belief systems we all labor under and without we would not survive. Rebs vs Unionists, Kansans vs Missourians, Indian vs White. All unite against the Evil trying to destroy them.
They have managed to deflect the attention to the birth certificate. It is irrelevant and probably unprovable but what is DEFINITE is that he is not a Natural Born Citizen. He admits his father was never an American citizen.
Clearly a fraudulent president.
