President Barack Obama's job approval climbed to 52 percent in the Gallup poll for the three-day period of Sept. 4 through Sept. 6, which is the highest Obama's approval has been since the three-day period ending June 1, 2011, when it hit 53 percent.
On Sept. 3, the day before the Democratic National Convention started, Obama's approval had been just 45%.
At the same time, Obama picked up ground over Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Last week, according to the Gallup tracking poll of the presidential race, Romney actually lost a point over the course of the Republican National Convention. Romney went from leading Obama 47 percent to 46 percent for the seven-day period that ended on on Aug. 27 to trailing Obama 46 percent to 47 percent for the seven-day period that ended on Sept. 3.
Since Sept. 3, Obama has picked up another point in the Gallup poll while Romney has lost one. Thus, for the seven-day period ending on Sept. 6, Obama led Romney 48 percent to 45 percent.

Rasmussen has Romney up 1 today, I think 46/45 or 45/44. I think the Messiah’s overall approval # is at 47.
I think 46-45 Romney..
46-45 romney. Starting to show small obama bounce. Any convention bounce though will get wiped out with todays awful jobs report.
Amazing what having your DOJ sue Gallup does for your poll numbers

“Gallup tracks daily the percentage of Americans who approve or disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing as president. Daily results are based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,500 national adults; Margin of error is ±3 percentage points. “
Again, Gallup’s job approval is a poll of adults. A completely meaningless poll in terms of the election outcome.
It's registered voters for their daily tracking, but the 52% job approval rating is adults only.
Man if that freak show A/K/A the DNC convention gave him any positive bounce, I give up on this once great country.
Must have been Caroline Kennedy’s ringing endorsement that did it. Camelot returns!
It's' so blatant now, they don't even try to cover it up. Why aren't the Gallop people making any noise about this facist bulls**t the kenyan is pulling?
Is this the same Gallop polling ground that was THREATENED by Axelrod for that poll back in April which showed Romney leading Obama..WOW Gallop, I see that you guys have succumbed to the pressure of AxelFraud and his phones to make this BS Poll..I needed a good laugh so thank you Gallop poll for almost making me poop my pants by laughing so hard

No mention of the word Registered just adults
Two words: Sympathy vote.

They will mfg anything to keep his halo.
Agree that the DNC convention was a collection of:
The easily duped
The aggrieved
The where’s mine crowd
Those who want some to speak for them
A collection of pinnochios with no one willing to point out their growing nose
Add to as you desire
Smells to me too!
The Dems ran a much smarter convention. They actually attacked their opponents on specifics, while the convention of Rience, Romney and Rove seemed to avoid mentioning Obama as much as possible, and when they did, giving the softest, vaguest excuses for critiques (except for Eastwood who explained he made up his speech without consulting with anyone else). How many punches did the Dems land on their opponents compared to the Repubs? At best, the Repubs were on defense the whole time against nonsense like the “war on women,” which simply allowed the Dems to remain one step ahead and continue on the offense at their convention. The Republican party seems to be run by absolute idiots. The GOP convention was a shockingly stupid waste of time that provided almost nothing helpful in the campaign against Obama.
Looks like Obummer is going to get a pretty solid bounce.
We probably would have gotten one as well were it not for the media making every effort to overshadow the RNC convention with the hurricane. Also, whether some can admit or not, Mooshell, Clinton and Obama are simply better orators than anything we can put forward right now. Additionally, our convention was saddled with paultards and their guests. These paulbots are actually against our ticket and were doing their best to disrupt and put a wet blanket on the whole convention (before anyone tries to defend them, paultards hate social conservatives just as much as they do R/R). It just killed the atmosphere to have that much division on the floor.
President Carter got a 5 point bounce in 1980 from his convention and we all know how that turned out.
