Thanks. We’re stuck for now: aging parents, husband’s business flat lining (he didn’t build that), terrible real estate market. We decided to make the best of it and plant our conservative flag in enemy soil for all to see. Say it high and say it proud: I’m conservative and I am proud. We hope other like minded Chicagoans will join us.
It amazes me that the media reports the Chicago street wars like baseball scores. There seems to be no real concern for the slaughter in the streets- its all just filler for the six o’clock news.

I’m not seeing much action by Chicago authorities to crack down on the violence. Maybe they are doing something, but we’re not hearing about it.
Could the murder rate in Chicago be used to justify military intervention? And if the military intercedes there, why not elsewhere?

Chicago is a beautiful city. This is really sad.
I think it was the old shock-jock “The Greaseman” who once quipped that “Chicago” was an ancient Indian word that translates as “It sucks here”...
