And he’s holding the flag correctly.
The field of blue is seen by us - the viewer -
in the upper left.
Unlike so many who hold it the other way ‘round.
Makes my teeth grit.

Rick Monday collected five hits in 3 at bats, but his team still lost to the Dodgers 5-4. Four of those Dodger runs were scored in that 4th inning,
all with two outs.
Tommy Lasorda was coaching third base and wanted to give those two perps a well deserved ass kicking, but he was unable to get there in time.

I was watching this game in Chicago. WGN turned the cameras away when the idiots began their attempt. No replay. Only stills the next day in Trib and a play-by-play by Jack Brickhouse. This is the first time I’ve seen video. THANK YOU!

How clear can it be? The two flag burners represent the exact culture that spawned Obama. Any older Democrat who supported Rick Monday’s action at the time and then voted for Obama in 2008 ought to feel ashamed.

Me too, first I have heard of this but am spreading the word...we need a great story like this especially now.
To: Vigilanteman
I’m thinking he got 3 hits in 5 at bats. Five hits in three at bats would be remarkable indeed!
To: jazusamo
This past July 4th we were at the Dodger game where they showed the video with a tribute to Rick Monday. The crowd gave a standing ovation. It was great.

I lived in the L.A. area when that took place and was a Dodger fan, it was definitely great.
It was also a great day when he became a Dodger player. :-)
