Presidential Polls, Israel, and Iran's Nuclear Ambition (Israel preparing to use EMP?)
Breitbart ^ | September 7, 2012 | Alfred Regnery

As the Romney-Ryan ticket inches ahead in the polls, one of the little noticed implications just may be the avoidance, at least for a time, of World War III.

World War III? How does that work?

According to high-level U.S. intelligence sources, Israel will likely unilaterally launch a preemptive strike on Iran’s nuclear enrichment facilities and is basing the timing of that strike, in part, on the U.S. presidential election. Sources say Israel is more likely to consider delaying the strike until spring if they are optimistic that there will be a leadership change in Washington.

An article in the Israeli National News in early August suggested that the Israeli political and military leadership, in order to put Tehran’s experiments with atomic playthings out of business, is prepared to unleash a nuclear electromagnetic pulse (EMP) against Iran sometime this fall by exploding a nuclear device high above the Iranian desert. Such a strike would send intense electromagnetic radiation over as much as 1,000 square miles, frying Iran’s electrical grid and bring its oil business, transportation, defense capabilities and most everything else that operates electronically to a grinding halt...

They should do that to all their enemies that are currently whacking out. Then blow up s bunch of their military assets while it is sitting there inert.

I think the EMP attack would be very effective. It would most likely render the Iranians incapable of mounting a large scale counter attack and would eliminate the prospect of fallout on neighboring countries. It would be horrible for the innocent Iranians and most likely would lead to great loss of life but in my opinion Israel’s primary moral responsibility is to her innocent citizens. Any suffering and death of innocent Iranians would be 100 percent the responsibility of the Iranian government. It would also be a mighty deterrent against other Arab nations attacking Israel. I have wondered if that unmanned space plane the Air force has been testing is not for the purpose of deploying such a weapon.

All kidding aside, I can see Israel doing the EMP and Benji flying to th Hague, ‘turning himself in” and saying “It was all me, I pushed the button. Put me on trial as I take full responsibility.”

Then let the world squirm.

I have no doubt he would sacrifice his life for his country.

If this news is accurate, a “1,000 square mile” area is only 31.6 miles by 31.6 miles. Unless it is over a major city, it won’t do that much damage.

The man is already a hero to his country...wouldn’t surprise me in the least to watch him become a hero to the world (even if the world is too daft to realize it).

Then let President Romney demand he be turned over for an act of terrorism, brought to America where he will be held in a maximum security facility like The Palms in Vegas or the Beverly Hilton.

;)

A thousand square miles is tiny relative to the size of the country.

Personally, I tend to believe Iran is provoking Israel to act so they can retaliate claiming it was only self defense. It wouldn’t surprise me if Iran already has at least one nuke, possibly from Russia. If Israel were to do something like this and Iran responded with a nuclear weapon on the ground they would have cover to claim it was justified.

It would be devastating for anyone in the hospital needing medical attention. With the embargo the Iranians could not replace anything.

“There are no innocent civilians in war. They support the evil, work in its industry, and yell and scream “Heil” on cue. Even those opposed to the scourge of evil and Nazism are guilty for not preventing it in the first place.”

Why would “Benji” turn himself in for protecting his Country against Iran?

Yes to some extent that is true. Our responsibility is to our civilians and our troops who, if we are morally justified to be fighting a war, are innocent as well. We should never kill any civilians if we don’t have to but neither should we shy away from killing them while going after the enemy. So I agree with sir Winston Churchill. But the little children and those who are trapped in a totalitarian country are innocent and if they die the blame rests squarely on the shoulders of the initiators of the violence.

Innocents always die in war and I would rather all the innocents in Iran die than one Israeli die because Iran is the clear aggressor.

Unfortunately our war policies have been decided by a bunch of stinking filthy altruists who are willing to sacrifice our soldiers to save innocent Iraqis and Afghans and refuse to do what it takes to win wars and get out.

Sherman was right.

“War is many things, but war is mostly hell. The more brutal it is, the quicker it will be over. War was the remedy our enemies chose......and I prepare to give them all the war they want.”
-William Tecumseh Sherman

I agree with your assessment.
Iran is goading Israel to strike first so they can use what is up their sleeve. Nukes were practically on Ebay after the fall of the USSR. They had the cash to buy both the nukes and the technicians to maintain them. Their “peaceful” reactors are probably seeded with the same base as the weapons the Russians lost control of, to create a deniability factor for them.

We know for sure that the Iranians have been making beaucoup Cobolt 60, for medical purposes, doncha know. A few pounds of that in every missile launched over Israel, and they don’t even need to hit their target, Israel becomes a zombie wasteland for at least 6 years .
