Analysis: Weak jobs report delivers blow to Obama
Associated Press ^ | Sep 7, 9:30 PM EDT | Tom Raum

The disappointing August jobs report raises yet another campaign obstacle for President Barack Obama and makes his hopes of holding onto his own job even more challenging—especially in closely contested battleground states with painfully high levels of unemployment.

Coming less than 12 hours after the president accepted his party's nomination for a second term, the lackluster report could wipe out or diminish any traditional bounce in the polls he might have gotten from the festive, well-choreographed three-day Democratic National Convention. "The broad message here is flat, flat, flat," said economist Heidi Shierholz with the labor-affiliated Economic Policy Center. …

The bleak news played right into the hands of Republicans, who claim that Obama's policies inhibit job production and have made the economic picture worse. "Did you see the jobs report this morning by the way?" Republican rival Mitt Romney asked reporters in Sioux City, Iowa. "Almost 400,000 people dropped out of the work force altogether. It's is simply unimaginable." …

They must have been watching Daffy Duck reruns. That's not the DNC convention I saw...

Even the bounce “like a dead cat” from the convention will not help Zero but the MSM is out spinning on this news.

Half of them are, but some have been unnaturally scathing, as Rush pointed out. I can’t remember who Sold (to Satan) O’Brien was getting the numbers from, but he crapped all over her picnic, saying “Soledad, it’s not just that we created virtually no jobs, it’s that the jobs we did create sucked”

God, I hate O’Brien. What a disgusting libturd masquerading as a journalist.

——The broad message here is flat, flat, flat,”-——

When adjusted, thruthful figures come to light, the message is down, down, down.

The picture will not lack luster but will be decidedly scuffed and scarred

What really pisses me off is that all the headlines are about how bad (unfortunate) for Obama. I think it’s a hell of a lot worse for the ones that don’t have a job or any hope of one with this liberal idiot in charge.

How about the truth for a change from the MSM and Big Bro? More than likely, the real unemployment number is over 20%!

Hmmm.

I dunno about you, but I’m finding this week’s “bigger” ration of chocolate, after they ~raised it to 25 grams from last week’s 49, to be substantially less satisfying.

You could say that about almost any of them

From the Notebooks of Lazarus Long by Robert A. Heinlein:

Throughout history, poverty is the normal condition of man. Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded--here and there, now and then--are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty. This is known as “bad luck.”

It's not hard to see the connection here.

Doesn’t seem to be bothering him at the polls.

Certainly not the many polls with the oversampling of Democrats, no.
