The disappointing August jobs report raises yet another campaign obstacle for President Barack Obama and makes his hopes of holding onto his own job even more challengingespecially in closely contested battleground states with painfully high levels of unemployment.
Coming less than 12 hours after the president accepted his party's nomination for a second term, the lackluster report could wipe out or diminish any traditional bounce in the polls he might have gotten from the festive, well-choreographed three-day Democratic National Convention. "The broad message here is flat, flat, flat," said economist Heidi Shierholz with the labor-affiliated Economic Policy Center.
The bleak news played right into the hands of Republicans, who claim that Obama's policies inhibit job production and have made the economic picture worse. "Did you see the jobs report this morning by the way?" Republican rival Mitt Romney asked reporters in Sioux City, Iowa. "Almost 400,000 people dropped out of the work force altogether. It's is simply unimaginable."

Half the MSM is even trying to wave this away. Good luck with that. I think this one might be impossible after 42 months of high unemployment.
Its becoming apparent to anyone who pays attention that there never was a “recovery”
They also revised down the employment numbers for June and July, no surprise there.
The MSM can’t wave this away if they wanted because they are forced to cover Romney/Ryan, who will keep hammering Obama over and over about it.
They had better not allow themselves to be distracted
If this had happened under a Republican President, it would already be called the Second Great Depression (GD2).

LOL, the Convention was a disaster in front of the entire Nation. Booing God? Not a mention of that debacle anywhere any longer. I sure hope R&R have that disaster in some of their campaign commercials.
As far as the MSM is concerned it never happened.
If it had been at the GOP convention, it would have been the ONLY news for days and days.
Perhaps, but our local FOX news last night showed 1 clip of Romney and 3 of Obama. I'm wondering, though, if showing more of Obama isn't hurting him more than helping him. Each clip showed his head bouncing from teleprompter to teleprompter. These images are a real turn off. How many, like us, are just hitting the mute button when Obama appears on the screen.
But remember, denial is not a river in Egypt and the MSM can do all their best but IT WILL COME BACK to haunt both them and the Dems.
If these reports continue I would imagine Eric Holder will start tossing documents into the fireplace
But the Demonrats are spinning like tops to characterize it as good news.
1984: It’s Morning in America
2012: It’s Mourning in America
But, of course this would never have happened if a Republican was in the White House. A Republican would push for tax cuts and cuts in Government regulation. This would spur job growth. Democrats are more concerned with government growth and the control of peoples lives.
If Romney is elected and follows the Reagan model, the economy will rebound quickly. Of course the MSM will then just credit Obama and his policies for the turnaround...
Obama actually touted 96 thousand jobs as a success... Canada created 34,000 jobs over the same period with a population that is 90% smaller than the United States. Pointing that out is the perfect argument and example of how poorly your economy is performing.
You mean after 3-1/2 years, the AP is suddenly NOT unexpectedly surprised?

And these are the fake doctored statistics
