Del. Barry Knight, with a bit of folksy charm, warmed up a crowd of several hundred people who had gathered in an aircraft hanger to hear Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Knight, a Pungo hog farmer, echoed the GOP's "We built that" theme as he told a story of working on a dairy farm growing up, hoping to someday buy his own farm.

"I didn't see a government official milking that cow," Knight shouted to cheers.

Cars were lined up for a half mile along the rural two-lane road leading to the Virginia Beach Military Aviation Museum, where Romney was scheduled to speak at 1:25 p.m.

“Pat Robertson sitting behind in seats just behind podium”

We noticed that. Given the emphasis on God and country in Mitt’s speech having Robertson there was a powerful visual.

I like how the republican speakers for the most part do not yell their speeches... Obama is at the top of his lungs in every campaign event..like we cannot understand unless he yells

Granted, Romney is no Reagan, but, his speeches have a calming, inspirational tone to them.

I just love how the media always says “hundreds” at the R&R rallies, when in truth there are thousands in attendance.

I think it is like sitting down and having a conversation. Nice and relaxed and comfortable without all the noise. Ever hear when obama is speaking... it’s like he is in the back of the room trying to be heard. So much shouting... Loud and obnoxious.
