Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., as chair of the House Budget Committee, was part of the team that signed off on the budget deal with the White House, mandating immediate spending cuts, creating a "Super-committee" tasked to finding $1.5 trillion in further deficit rediction, and raising a self-imposed sword of Damocles - $1.2 trillion in cuts to the Pentagon and domestic spending that few in Congress wanted - if the Super-committee failed.

Romney is correct. Period.

Imagine if we all get wiped out because America’s defenses were slashed? (Further slashed, that is). For a budget deal?

Yes, it was a stupid deal. It did NOTHING to cut the budget, and it gave Obama most of what he wanted.

But, I agree, it’s a distraction to say that now, and especially in such a way that the media and obama can blame it on the GOP. Not that it wasn’t the GOP’s stupidity as well as Democrat corruption.

>> What is up with Romney? If he starts talking like this during the Debates we are finished.

When you’ve had enough of the Leftwing propaganda, feel free to attack the other side.

Romney wants to win on a paper napkin or possibly not at all.

Must be hard for Myth to have to go up against a guy whose policies he hardly disagrees with, but embraced in Massachusetts, laying the template out for Brack to implement nationally.

Read where Bill Kristol is saying out loud now that Romney has got to start speaking up, draw a contrast, if he expects to break the undecided and the polls in general his way.

??????????????????????

He is RIGHT!!!

And a damn lot of conservatives were EXCORIATING Boehner and McConnell for that phony Supercommittee scam.

CONGRESS gets paid to resolve the budget - specifically the HOUSE and the HOUSE led by BOEHNER should have done that.

The sequestration deal fell right into Obama’s plans.

McConnell and Boehner need to be removed. They are presiding over a catastrophic record.

You don’t vote for Mitt, you help Obama, pure and simple. There’s no way around it. You might hate Mitt and worry about what he’ll actually do if elected but let me ask you this, what will Obama do if re-elected.

I don’t have any respect for anyone who’s not hell-bent on getting this guy out of the WH. Our future and our kid’s futures depend on it. Our freedom depends on it.

He is certainly right here.

By the way, John McCain and Graham are at it again and this time they got all the GOP Senators to help them. They are making a push to intervene militarily in Syria.

John McCain is a certifiable nut-job. He has shown that time and again. Graham is his Mini-Me.

The people running the Syria revolt are just as crazy as the wack jobs who took over in Egypt. Let them kill each other off. Further, the rebels are treating the Christian community there the same way the new government of Egypt is treating the Christian Copts there.

The LAST thing we need is ANOTHER mindless long term commitment in Syria. We have spent too many dollars and too many lives in a prolonged occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan which accomplished NOTHING.

If John McCain wants to fight alongside the Syrian rebel wack jobs, fly him over there and kick his sorry butt out the plane.

We need our money and military to deal with Iran - IN IRAN and with Muslims IN AMERICA.

Until this election is over, at least, McCain needs to do what MacArthur alluded to and . . . "just fade away."

I wish he would ride off into the sunset in that Arizona countryside - on those roads that run along the edges of canyons and down mountains and just disappear - permanently.

Yes. Keep trashing Romney.

And when Obama gets re-elected because of thinking like yours, and those drones are flying overhead, and Obama’s TSA police are in the streets establishing “order”, and you find your personal income steadily declining as America sinks inexorably towards third worldism, you can be satisfied that at least you were willing to pass up having merely a partial cut of the political pie in order to make a point and preserve your philosophical purity.

If he’s talking about the fact that Republicans were willing to go along with exempting Old Age Welfare (sometimes called Social Security), and then subjecting NATIONAL DEFENSE to 50% of the cuts - he had better be mad, because it PISSES ME OFF TOO. National Defense is not “just another government program”. If anything, it should have been exempted instead of Old Age Welfare.

As to Ryan - yes, Ryan screwed up on it, and I’m happy that Romney has called him out on it. To me, that shows that Romney is ready for business and will not take crap from either side of the aisle, including his own VP nominee.

That’s all well and good. Trouble is Romney has been very good about going out there and telling everyone what he WON’T cut, which seems to be just about everything. Has he given any specifics yet on what federal spending he WILL cut?

Mittens would have taken Bammy’s tax increase “deal.”

If he’s a Republican *(which he’s not) he would point to Obama’s radicalism and his refusal to deal with the deficit in a responsible way resulting in that pitiful move to expand the national debt with dangerous, mindless tax cuts.

Mittens is crazy about BJ we learn this week, and he’s trying to be clever and triangulate but there is no “right” in that deal for him to oppose. It was spinless Rinos who beleive in nothing versus a communist in the white hut. So he’s in the middle of what - better than them all? He just gave away that whole tax increase mess to the Bamster. That is probably why he’s in the election like McBackstabber. But we’ll see.

Freepers have said about 10 times worse about this lousy deal.

BFD. It actually is good to expose one lie that the Republicans didnt help Obama - they did, they made a ‘deal’ and guess what ... it s**ked.
