Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) is up for re-election in November and her main opposition comes from Republican candidate Elizabeth Emken. While Emken would like to debate the three-term senator, Feinstein has rejected the idea.
The Los Angeles Times thinks it is a good idea for the candidates to face off publicly. Last summer, after Emken won the Republican nomination, the Times published an editorial in favor of a debate:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein had an excuse for not debating her opponents in the first round of this years election there were 23 of them. But now that the voters have winnowed the field to two, the four-term Democratic incumbent owes it to Californias voters to appear publicly with Republican challenger Elizabeth Emke

Priceless, she ought to do it in a press conference setting and post it on you-tube.
It would get under Di-Fi's wrinkly old skin...
Must have been “that time of the month” wait....she’s too old...it must be “that time of the month” everyday.
Feinstein could beat up Bill Cosby on TV and win California. California is a total loss.
Are you kidding? It’s Kalifornia, land of Barbara Boxer, aka Barbara Bouncer, and Governor Moonbeam. There ain’t no way.
That’s one arrogant senator. She even gave him a dog-pat before she left.
He'd hit it....twice!

This from the LA Times?!!?
Woah! A pig just flew into my yard!
If Dianne Feinstein was as certain she’d be re-elected as everyone else seems to be, there’s no reason she wouldn’t agree to a debate. She’s panicking, and for good reason.
When the results were in for California’s June 5th non-partisan Senate primary, in which the top two vote-getters got the right to face each other in November, Dianne Feinstein received only 49.3 percent of the vote. The majority of California voters voted against her.
With Elizabeth Emke’s poll numbers now in the mid-30s, and 20 percent undecided, an Emke victory is doable. But even if she doesn’t win, a close race, for example, 40% Emke, 45% Feinstein, and 15% undecided would send Democrats panicking and flooding precious campaign dollars into California.
Dianne Feinstein’s refusal to debate is the best news of the week.
debate is beneath her..
GUillotines from orbit ... it’s the only way
SES1066, please add Nancy Polesi (Syrian Prez Assad’s old buddy), Fortney (Pete) Stark, Maxine Waters (let’s give my hubby’s bank more money), all of the idiots in Sacramento, and a few others to the list of why California is bankrupt, morally and financially.
Dont forget Henry
Waxman
This old bat should hang it up. At this point she likes being a US Senator for getting her arse kissed. Every US Senator gets treated like a king in DC
I dont understand the reluctance to be seen standing the reluctance to be seen next to this obviously intelligent woman. It would be my pleasure to be seen with this woman.
Hubba, hubba!!
Post of the day.... Thank you!!!
Feinstein knows shes dumb as a stump, but she knows her constituents are just as blind, why would she do it?
They want free treats, she feeds them.
She might die in office like KKK Byrd, Who pretty much did the same things
Actually the fact that she is sure of a win is why she wont debate.
A secure incumbent has no reason to debate and every reason not to debate.
A secure incumbent can only be damaged in a debate by saying something stupid the only candidate in a debate with something to win is the challenger.
The challenger can say something impressive or can embarrass the incumbent. The incumbent can do these things but even if they do they were going to win anyway.
The only incumbent that has anything to gain in a debate with a challenger is one that is truly threatened or already weakened by something they said or did.
Nobody knows her opponent and she can stay in DC and still win.
Poster girl for term limits.
