Polygamy is a marriage that includes a man and more than one wife. Polyandry is a marriage in that includes a wife and more than one husband.
It seems that Beck left out the part about God once being a mere man.
I’m sure his next video will be a show on all the archaeological sites mentioned in the Book of Mormon.

I was somewhat disappointed in the clips of the show that I saw. He does explain that polygamy is not officially countenanced by the LDS today, but he did not do a very good job of explaining why they allowed it in the first place, nor the reasoning behind stopping the practice.
The reason Malibu Ken’s grandfather took his multi-wived family to live in Mexico was because polygamy was outlawed in the U.S.A.. He just left that part out when he appealed to the Mexican vote during the RNC convention.

With all the anti-Morman attacks in today’s politics and in the 2012 campaign I think it’s perfectly placed. Of course, some will want to “hide” threads such as this.

In the religion forum? No, if its here, everyone can comment, not just the mormons. So i like that. It seems like an open way to discuss things. Even people like you can chime in and opine as long as you stay within FR rules. Besides, every day i get treated for example to numerous Catholic theads here that are nothing but pure esoteric dogma discussions, and they are not always in the religion forum. Yet, i never see you whine about that?

Mormonism has enough fantasies, from God being married to blacks being excluded from the priesthood that is not even part of the NT church, that men like Beck can only engage in damage control when exposed.
It owes what virtue it has to the Bible, which the LDS exalts its own writings and authority over.
