... and in the SECOND place, many Americans haven't the slightest clue what "a Marxist or Marxist sympathies" means - especially the younger ones who never lived in the eras of these tyrannies or studied their horrors in publik skhules!

Besides, don't the current "communists" (the Chinese) make our TVs and iPods by the millions? Nice, hard-working people who make great stuff like that for us cheap can't be that bad, can they? After all, can't we schmooze with them on FaceBook?

A large percentage and it may even be a majority would not recognize the name of Marx aside from thinking it refers to a comedian.
