Either your friend was mistaken or Norwegian bus driving is where it's at. The average Norwegian doctor makes around $100K US, but has far less student loan debt (if any) and a full pension.

She was probably referring to the salary of new doctors, not all doctors. I read that the average salary was $32,000/year. My friend hasn’t lived in Norway for 12 years, soooo. Who knows. I just read that salaries in Norway increased 26% between 2004 and 2006, alone.
