Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy had a gun pointed at him Sunday while picking up his daughter from church, police said. The suspect, reportedly identified as a 52-year-old woman, was arrested after the incident. The South Carolina congressman's office confirmed the account but offered few details about the threat beyond thanking the police in Spartanburg, S.C., who assisted.

I haven’t seen any evidence suggesting that this woman is a lefty, or that politics had anything to do with this incident.
I believe the accused individual has mental issues. She stole the gun from an acquaintance or relative.

The radio news report I heard failed to mention Gowdy is GOP. You can bet your bottom bippy the story would have been moved to front of the pack with direct mention of his party if Gowdy had been a Dimwit. MSNBC would have speculated whether the woman was a “teabagger” or some demented right winger and would have expressed sympathy for the victim and outrage over the attacker. Could this attack be “traced back to the GOP and GOP beliefs?”

Can you just IMAGINE the Mainstream Media s**tstorm we’d be treated to had a Tea-Partier pointed a gun at a Black Democrat Congressman?
But, since the roles are reversed, this gets a big yawn from the MSM.
I’m glad to hear that Trey and his daughter weren’t harmed.
