Guess Dear Leader didn’t keep the defense contractors in line by making sure they wouldn’t announce the layoffs BEFORE the election! Too F’n bad!

I’m sure that they didn’t want to piss off Dear Reader. It’s just that they wouldn’t survive the class action Lawsuits and RICO Suits if they didn’t follow the law. And they certainly can’t afford to keep those employees on the books if there is no paid-for work by the DOD.

And if they had waited until after the election to announce? Hmmmm, I could go to court myself and claim that there had been a in-kind contribution to Dear Reader’s re-election Campaign.

The law says they must notify people of these job cuts so far in advance. Obama’s administration realized that 60 day notice of job cuts from sequestration = right before the election. He told them that there would be a waiver, “Hey, guys, I know the law says you have to tell everyone, but you really don’t.” But the major defense contractors have come back and said they WILL announce job cuts as the law requires if Sequestration isn’t undone.

Lower dividends, senior executives salaries and make less profit?

I have a buddy that works defense in SoCal. They've known about this for months now, and the layoffs before the election are intentional.

If the Pentagon is not buying, then there are no dollars to hire workers. Period.

They still have to honor on0going contracts and there are a lot of programs that just can’t be cut. As a contractor for over 30 yrs, I really think the contractors have to bite some bullets. They really could do it without that many layoffs of personnel, also, the guv community could do more.

My company has now given out their notices of defense cut layoffs, regardless of the Obama mandate not to tell.
