The untold story is that Romney pressed for the soft, deferential version of the statement but his more hawkish staff won the argument.

darn – just the opposite of what Reagan did with his "tear down this wall" statement. I'd much rather have a president with a backbone than have his staffers force one on him.

Yesterday a newscast said that polling showed that Americans trust Obama more than Romney on both the economy and education. It’s unthinkable! Where are these idiots coming from? History has shown that Mitt has had almost perfect success when it comes to anything financial, while Hussein has ruined us financially. Still... they trust the Muslim more.

And education... Kids are graduating dumber today than they did four years ago.

I believe you just answered your own question ;)

The idiots are coming right from our very own schools, er, liberal indoctrination camps.

And you would have Romney do what? Send in the SEALs? Call up the 82nd Airborne?

Stop all aid then summon their leaders for a good old fashion fire and brimstone speech. Simple if the will is there. The State Department “lambs” who were murdered signed their own death warrants thinking they can appease these evil creatures with their “progressive” policies.

But Romney can't do that. Maybe in January, but not now.

I agree that President Obama needs to take those measures immediately. But the original comment seemed to be taking Romney to task for not doing something.

As you said, now, nothing, but later - withdraw aid, declare the countries as havens of terrorism, and bomb the daylights out of them.

He should come right out and say that Barack Obama’s reactions were that of a frightened timid eunuch who took his time focus grouping this for hours before “making” a decision. He should say that if the President is actually male he would never have even seriously considered blaming this on “hurting Muslim feelings”. The White House reaction to things of this nature should be immediate and forthright, not waiting several hours before making limp comments.

The President should immediately recall all of our ambassadorial staff from endangered countries in the region to discuss how to improve security. Such as not hiring local security instead of using Marines. Naval assets in the Med should have been moved closer to the Libyan-Egyptian coast.

All ad and joint projects (like trying to get them an attack submarine) should be put on hold. The President should make a televised statement condemning the attacks and informing the American people he will do everything in his power to safeguard American lives abroad and that these attackers must be found and brought to justice.

Romney needs to publicly castrate and lecture the Boy King on how to be a leader.

(s)

but republicans are supposed to sit down and shut up with a president dealing with foreign “suff”!!! Obama is not to be criticized when he is President-tialing.

Romney’s criticism is unfair! against the rules! Obama demands a time out!

(/s)

ps. was Obama sitting in his chair during this crisis? or was it empty again?

We give Egypt $1 billion each year and recently promised more aid.

We spent $100 million a week bombing Libya.

What do we get: trashed embassies and four dead ambassadors.

These men were official representatives of the US government. This is an act of war and seems to require a military strike or SEAL team sniper job.

Romney should fly to Jerusalem and vow...

” When I am President, America will not apologize to our enemies, America will ATTACK OUR ENEMIES.

For the first time in well, ever..I was very proud of Mitt Romney. He made an excellent statement and he spoke to the Obama press this morning and sounded very Presidential. He answered EVERY SINGLE QUESTION even though they were trying to trash him, he was calm and answered everything. Meanwhile you have Obama who was asked “Is this an act of war” and he turns his back and leaves..of course going to fundraisers in Vegas and going on Letterman are much much more important. Obama only speaks in force when he talks about birth control and how Catholics have to comply with giving out birth control, or trashing the tea party, for that he speaks strongly, but when an American Ambassador and three other Consulate employees are MURDERED the prick has NOTHING to say

What are the historical precedents for this (i.e. murder of an ambassador) and reactions by the affected countries? This has been considered for centuries an act of war. What will the U.S. do this time? You know as well as I: nothing.

It might be the September surprise, instead of the usual October surprise, but if the Obama media refuses to report on this(Since we all know the media is in cahoots with the Obama Administration, they are probably discussing right now what to do about this) how can this info get out there
