'Arab Spring' Takes the Life of U.S. Ambassador

By Mr. Curmudgeon"

U.S. Ambassador John Christopher Stevens and two others were killed by an Islamic mob armed with rocket-propelled grenades fired into the American diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. Stevens and Republican Senator John McCain were instrumental in helping Libya's anti-Moammar Gaddafi rebels establish a democratic government the Obama administration could recognize.

An anti-Islamic film produced by an Egyptian American was believed to be the pretext for the attacks on America's diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt.

According to news reports, authorities in Egypt and Libya provided little perimeter security for America's diplomatic compounds, afraid to be seen by their people as too closely tied to the "Great Satan."

The Washington Post described the attacks as "likely to prompt a deep rethinking of U.S. policy toward both Libya and Egypt, where the United States supported Arab Spring revolutions and was instrumental in providing financial and diplomatic support for their newly-democratic governments."

Americans have been sold on the bipartisan idea that "democracy" is the balm to sooth all troubles in the Middle East. Democracy was on display in Arab Spring Libya and Egypt when the majority - the mob - out voted the minority - American diplomats - in their respective countries. Missing from this democratic display was the rule of law, which tempers the passions of the mob to protect the rights of the minority.

The most basic of these is the right to "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness ..."

As our Declaration of Independence states, "To secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed." These U.S.-supported democratic regimes disregarded that duty and revealed their democracies to be unjust and illegitimate.

The bipartisan U.S. policy to establish dysfunctional Middle East democracies also extends to Iraq and Afghanistan. What, then, is the thread connecting these regimes?

Sharia law.

Equality under sharia is nonexistent. Under the Orwellian influence of sharia, some are considered more equal than others: Men over women, Muslims over non-Muslims.

"In those Muslim countries where Islam is the official religion listed in the constitution," says the Council on Foreign Relations, "sharia is declared to be a source, or the source, of the laws ... In Pakistan, Egypt, Iran, and Iraq, among others, it is also forbidden to enact legislation that is antithetical to Islam."

When an Islamic mob stormed the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, the American flag was lowered and replace with one reading, "There is no god but God and Muhammad is his prophet."

As mentioned above, the attacks were in response to the release of a film in the U.S. that depicted Prophet Muhammad (forbidden under sharia) and criticizing the violence perpetrated against Egypt's Coptic Christian minority by Islamic mobs. As the Grand Mufti of Egypt, Sheikh Ali Gomaa, said, "Freedom of speech does not warrant desecrating sanctities."

He was not speaking to Egyptians. He was speaking to Americans whose government, under the presidencies of George W. Bush and Barack Obama, shaped and continue to support sharia democracies.

When in 2010 Florida Pastor Terry Jones of the Dove World Outreach Center planned to burn copies of the Koran in commemoration of the September 11 attacks, President Obama said in an ABC News interview, "Look, this is a recruitment bonanza for al-Qaeda. You could have serious violence in places like Pakistan and Afghanistan. This could increase the recruitment of individuals who'd be willing to blow themselves up in American cities, or European cities." Terry postponed the Koran burnings ... but riots raged across the Arab World anyway.

So far, the American media has refused to provide details about the film that inspired the recent Libyan and Egyptian attacks - as they refused to show the cartoon by Danish artist Kurt Westergaard depicting Muhammad wearing a bomb turban, which sparked riots in the Arab Street and more than one attempted assassination of the artist.

Appearing in the White House Rose Garden alongside President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton issued a statement regarding the death of Ambassador Stevens, "We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, but there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence ... The World must stand together to unequivocally reject these brutal acts."

It is not reasonable to expect the world to condemn the violence of mobs whose sharia democracy is the handiwork of Washington.

More importantly, Secretary Clinton's message to Americans is clear: In support of Washington's project to build Middle East democracy, it is important for Americans not to "denigrate the religious beliefs of others."

Americans must be sharia compliant ... our lives depend on it.

Douse the area with kerosene, No use all of our strategic oil reserves and make rain over Allah land and finish them with napalm.

In fact, jf we ever did decide to do that I’d go work in the factory that produces it.....unless they let me fly in the plane that delivers the napalm and honor me with the guilty pleasure of pulling the trigger....

Perhaps it’s a good thing I’m not calling the shots. If I were, the B-52s would already be in the air.

Michele Bachmann saw it coming a year ago ....

"You want to know why we have an Arab Spring? Barack Obama has laid the table for an Arab Spring by demonstrating weakness from the United States of America," she said. "The No. 1 duty of the president is to be the commander-in-chief."

All those fawning LIEberals tried to sell us the idea that the Arab Spring was just pure secular democracy. They bought their own worthless pibble. Now all they got is radical Muzzie Bros in the hood and dead Americans. Will they own up to their mistake? Not gonna happen with deranged liberals.

In light of the attacks by Islamic radicals in Egypt and Libya, it is worth noting that not only was yesterday 9-11, but today is the Catholic Feast of the Holy Name of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
.
Why is this significant? Because this feast was established in 1683 by Pope Innocent XI in thanksgiving to our Lady for the victory on September 12, 1683 by John Sobieski, king of Poland, over the Turks, who were besieging Vienna and threatening the West. This victory was the turning point in Moslem attempts to militarily conquer Europe, and began the long decline of Islamic influence and civilization. We may forget our history, but the Islamists never do.
