That was my thought after watching it again.
He’s lucky. Sorry to say it, but in Britain, the McDonald’s employee would be the one looking at jail time for continuing to hit them while they appeared to be down, especially if they were women and he had a weapon. (Not that I’m saying they didn’t richly deserve it, some people just need a jolly good bashing with a stick).
