Everything I’ve read indicates that AP indentified him, with his cooperation. All I’ve read about “the feds hunting him down” is verification that an unnamed government source read an AP article, just like we all did.

• Mark Basseley Youssef,
• Yousseff M. Basseley,
• Nicola Bacily and
• Malid Ahlawi -- were all listed as aliases in the indictment. Other court documents listed
• Thomas J. Tanas,
• Ahmad Hamdy and
• Erwin Salameh also as aliases.
