In our interview today, Mitt Romney did not back down from his belief that the Obama Administration's first response to the Cairo protest demonstrated "sympathy" for the attackers, but he also made it clear that he was ready to move on.
"What I said was exactly the same conclusion the White House reached, which was that the statement was inappropriate. That's why they backed away from it as well," Romney told me.
The Cairo Embassy's statement, released before it was attacked, said it rejects "the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others."
When I pointed out that the White House did not say the Embassy's statement showed sympathy for the attackers, Romney stuck by his remarks.
"Well, I think the statement was an inappropriate statement. I think it was not directly applicable and appropriate for the setting. I think it should have been taken down. And apparently the White House felt the same way," he said.

Message to ABC News: The White House reversed themselves....the state department reversed itself. And its a fact Obama supports middle eastern muslims over the USA. Obama apologizes to them at every opportunity! Obama shot first and asked questions later when he started meddling in Egypt and Libya and other places in the middle east. Mitt Romney has been proved right in more ways than one here.
Hey ABC News, are you going to act like a News organization for ONCE in your life and report that the Obama Administration knew 48 hours in advance that this attack would happen and did NOTHING

Possibly....although I don’t think these headlines are going away any time soon. Things are getting rough and Obama and Hillary have been complete failures.d This needs to be pointed out over and over.
How does this guy thinks he can win the election by continually trying to point out how much he and Obama agree with each other?

He didn’t let Georgie pin him down and merely pointed out it was nothing but a campaign tactic for Zero to accuse him of “shooting first”.
Then, he pivoted to the economy and a brilliant point about Bernanke printing money shows the economy is tanking.
