Angry Calls Target Murfreesboro Islamic Center

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Security has been stepped up after the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro received a number of angry and threatening phone calls. The calls have come after days of violence in the middle east that claimed the life of a US ambassador among others.

Imam Ossama, the leader of the Islamic Center, said he was disappointed over the threats and he's outraged over the recent events in the middle east and condemns the violence. He said local muslims had nothing to do with what has happened overseas.

The Rutherford County sheriff is aware of the angry calls and security is in place to protect the Islamic Center. In addition to police patrols the Islamic Center pays for its own security guards.

In other countries things are getting blown up and people are dying, they should be glad all they are getting are disapproving phone calls.

One of these days, they may just get more than phone calls. People are pretty hot right now and this whole embassy thing isn't over yet. Who knows what will happen as more information comes out about Tuesday's attacks?

Am having trouble believing the article and the accusations of threatening phone calls to the mosque. The article is in print to be another hit piece against Americans which states the moslems are victims, and all Americans should be ashamed of themselves. There was a 2-year court battle, trying to stop the mosque from being built. Where the money came from was a big issue but not big enough to keep them from ramming the place down the locals’ throats.

Parse the upbringing of Americans with the upbringing of moslems and therein one finds the glaring differences of culture. Americans (most) were taught to be responsible for their actions, whereas moslems were taught to blame America and Israel for all things moslems consider to be evil. Think Church Lady times a billion plus and sense the rage and the card played is it is moslems who are the victims. Now think about the lay of the political landscape and how the democrats tell their followers to be a victim. When all is said and done ... responsibility is the first casualty.

On Middle Eastern television the mullahs openly talk about murdering nonMuslims, they even talk about kidnapping nonMuslim women and making them sex slaves. These people are barbarians and yes, it does go all through the culture. If this were not widely condoned, the government would not allow this on television.
